amazing difference in walking with orthotics

I used to dread walking. With my dogs, at the mall, at the amusement park. Why? Because all my life if I was on my feet for prolonged periods of time (whether standing or walking), I would be in pain for days afterward, my hips, legs, feet.

After a series of rip off doctors who told me nothing was wrong, and the pain was all in my head, I finally went to a podiatrist, who told me that my arches fall when I walk. Something is wrong with the makeup of my physical body, so that my arches don't support my weight. A simple fix: custom orthotics.

So, now I wear custom orthotics. I have one pair, as they cost about $400 to make, so I insert them into whatever pair of shoes I wear each morning. Yes, it will be very difficult in finding "cute" summer sandals that I can actually wear. But I did find some nice skechers and naturalizers that I can wear with shorts or a skirt, and also use my orthotics. So there are minuses to wearing the orthotics. I usually have to get a size bigger shoe, which make my size 8 feet look bigger. My choices in shoe selection are much more limited (not like I was a shoe fiend anyway, so at least that is the good part). And, my new pairs of summer shoes have caused blisters on my heels, but once they break in they will be very comfortable.

An interesting note is that my feet are sweating in them. I never had sweaty feet before. But maybe because I have always worn either socks with shoes, or when I don't wear socks, I wear sandals (like flip flops or thongs) where my feet breathe totally. I know I used to always think it is weird when people have sweaty feet -- and those who say that the detox foot pads "goo" reaction is due to the sweat of the foot. Well, I know that is not true, as tests have proven that the foot pads pull out toxins, excessive of what is in your sweat (sweating is another detox method). But at least now I understand what they are saying, where they are coming from.

But back to walking. I am so happy that I can take long walks and not worry about my aching pains.

I am upset that what should have been a single doctor visit many years ago to figure out the problem happened to instead be a 15+ year journey of pain, costing me thousands upon thousands of dollars in doctors visits, with them telling me it was all in my head.

No wonder my rolfer always shook her head when I came for my monthly visits. I should have only needed 10 sessions, but here I am, over 4 years later, and still needing to go in. (We figured out that once she put me back into place, I would walk out of there with my fallen arches and my body would get messed up again very quickly). Now, the rolfing sessions are much more productive. They are actually working!

Starving yourself fat: Why low-calorie diets go bust

Here is an article regarding why low-calorie diets do not work IN MOST CASES -- it has to do with the stress hormone, cortisol, and the reason why we store fat (our metabolisms slow) when we try to diet by starving ourselves. However, what WC Douglass, MD did NOT mention (and he has before, just not in this article) is that the hCG diet, along with detoxifying your body, actually does work. The way it works is by triggering the hypothalamus to NOT store fat, and to actually burn fat vs. burning muscle. Usually on a low calorie diet your body is triggered to burn muscle for fuel, and store the fat for later (basically, "starvation mode") -- because we have always been told this is the case, that is why so many people do not have faith or believe that the homeopathic hcg diet really will work. You gotta try it and see... it is remarkable! Critics will cite that it won't work, that you will lose the same amount of weight without the hcg, if you starve yourself. That might be true, but you are losing more inches, because the weight you burn using the hcg comes from fat not muscle. Try it and see for yourself! But whatever method you try, don't forget to get rid of the toxins in your body -- try the detox foot pads!

It's no big secret: Unless your name is Gandhi, a low-calorie diet isn't going to help you lose weight.

I can't stress enough how bad these diets are... and now, a new study shows one more reason they're doomed to fail.

Cutting back the calories sends a signal to your body that you're under attack... because in many ways, you are under attack -- from your own diet. Bunny salads, low-cal meals and frozen diet dinners kick the production of the stress hormone cortisol into overdrive.

The study published in Psychosomatic Medicine found that you'll get a stress boost just by going on a low-calorie diet... but if you start counting your dietary calories too, you'll get an even bigger cortisol jolt.

So these diets don't just feel stressful -- they are stressful.

No wonder so many dieters turn into irritable grouches! But at least Oscar manages to fit inside his trashcan despite all those years eating garbage. The rest of us aren't so lucky.

All that cortisol tells the body to retain weight, so as you eat less, you can actually weigh more. That's also why it's impossible to stay on these diets -- your body is screaming at you the whole time.

Cortisol is the same hormone released during the "fight or flight" reaction, and if you're on one of these diets, take flight fast -- before it kills you. Excess cortisol production has been linked to problems in the digestive, reproductive and immune systems.

It can even shut those functions down completely.

There's one way to lose weight, keep it off and stay healthy: Kill the carbs, especially sugar. Get them down close to zero, and you'll never starve -- feel free to eat as much healthy animal fats and proteins as you want, and your body will take it from there.

No stress necessary.

You can take chlorella, a form of dried algae. You can find it in most health-food stores. Take one 500 mg capsule per day initially. Some people are sensitive to chlorella. If you start experiencing nausea or burping, it means your body can’t tolerate it, and you should go for another option.
If you don’t have a sensitivity, work up slowly over one to two weeks to a dose of one teaspoon (10 tablets or capsules) per day until your levels come down.
Fresh cilantro has also been shown to remove mercury from the body. About a teaspoon a day should work.
Garlic is also a good option. Three cloves of fresh garlic per day should help.

When drinking bottled water you need to think not only about the water but also about the bottle itself. Plastic is not an inert substance as its manufacturers would like you to believe. It contains chemicals like BPA and phthalates, which mimic hormones in your body.
Even tiny concentrations can cause problems such as:

Common chemicals linked to early puberty

I have been telling people this for many years.... about all the toxins.... explaining how todays little girls start their periods earlier... and it isn't only the toxins that are described in WC Douglass' report below, but also from the bovine growth hormone in milk that we feed our kids!! We think it is healthy for them (vs. soda -- well, it might be better than all the sugars, but creates a whole new array of trouble for their small bodies). Little girls are quickly turning into women... and not just because time flies. They're getting a secret hormone boost that's leading to early puberty and a lifetime of trouble.

And unless you've been growing your own food and drinking out of coconut shells, your family is almost certainly at risk.

The latest study found that young girls around the country have alarming levels of three frightening hormone-like substances that I've been warning you about: phenols, phthalates and phytoestrogens.

When researchers from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine studied urine samples from 1,151 girls between 6 and 8 years old from New York City, Cincinnati and northern California, they found high levels of all three of those "p's" in the pee.

I'll throw in one more "p" -- poison, because these awful chemicals will harm you and your family, especially your children and grandchildren.

It's not hard to figure out why kids are absorbing so much of this junk... because the troubling trio is everywhere. Phthalates are in plastics -- even toys -- as well as cosmetics. Phytoestrogen is the key hormone-like substance that makes soy so dangerous. And the most common phenol, BPA, is in just about everything -- including plastic bottles and can linings.

This new study in Environmental Health Perspectives is on girls, but the damage isn't limited to them. These are equal-opportunity hormones, and they're making boys more feminine as well.

Turns out the phthalates are even helping boys to grow their own breasts -- to the point where some of them practically need bras themselves. (Read, "Why some boys have breasts.")

I've also told you plenty about BPA -- it's been linked to heart disease, cancer, obesity, asthma and all manner of sexual dysfunction in males and females alike. Soy is quite simply the world's most dangerous substance disguised as food.

There's no room for debate on this, and no time to wait for the feds to act. Avoid soy, plastics and cans as much as you possibly can.

Why I LOVE detox foot pads (foot detoxifying pads) as the best way to detox your body

I really am excited about my detox foot pads. Yeah, I know, I have been selling them for over 5 years now. But yet I am still very excited about this method of detox. I will tell you why. But first -- I always remind people that detox foot pads CAN be a scam if you do not make sure your foot patches are 100% pure ingredients and free of fillers. Fillers (dextrin, Vegetable fiber) are basically cornstarch. They have no beneficial reason to be in the foot pad, other than because it is dirt cheap and they can make more money off you. (in the long run they lose customers -- because you won't be a repeat customer). More than 75% of my customers are repeat customers. The percentage is increasing, too!

So here are the reasons why my foot detox pads are great:

1. This is an extremely easy way to detoxify your body. It is not harsh on your body at all. You can't detox your body too quickly with this method. With other methods you can get sick quickly, if you detox too fast (it is called the detox reaction, and the #1 reason why people do not finish detoxing.)
2. The detox foot pads get out many heavy metals, plastics, chemicals and other toxins.
3. The BEST reason why my detox foot pads just totally rock, are because they are a unique way of detoxing. Many other detox products require you to commit to it for a month at a time, or 3 months, or 6 weeks... and if you stop, the benefits are gone... you have to complete their whole plan or you lose any benefits that you have gained. With my detox foot pads, you get to set your own schedule. If you want a quicker detox, you can use 3 per foot per night. This may only take a month or so to get your body fully detoxed. If you decide to use the foot pads only on the weekends (like me), then it may take you a full year of wearing only one on each foot. These two examples both use about 200 foot pads, but are very different in the process. Even if you faithfully use the detox pads for a full month, then stop using them for 6 months, the benefits you got from the first month are still there. Those toxins didn't come back into your body! Even one night is beneficial.
