WHOLE WHEAT BANANA NUT BREAD

2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups mashed banana
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup honey
2 medium eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
vegetable cooking spray

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of
mixture. Combine banana, oil, honey, eggs and vanilla; add to dry
ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Coat a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan with cooking spray. Spoon batter into
pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until a wooden pick
inserted in center comes out clean.

NutraSilver, MMS and Morgellons

I have quite a few customers who are suffering from Morgellons disease. The ones I hear back from that are using both MMS (Miracle Mineral Solution) and NutraSilver, are doing the best. Their symptoms have disappeared and their brain fog has cleared. While this is not a cure -- no one knows what the cure actually is, by having some semblance of your life back, it is such a relief.

FAR Infrared Sauna Therapy Benefits

I am going to write about Far Infrared Saunas and their benefits. Well, I am going to cut and paste below what was taken off of Evolution Health's website. That is where I purchased my sauna. I have had it for 18 months now. I use it about 3 times a week. I know I should use it more, especially since I am doing PT for my shoulder bursitis and rotator cuff tendinitis. I also should stretch while in the sauna, but I am not much of one for super hot things. It gets to be about 125F, which is less than regular saunas. It is not a steam sauna, which are not as effective as a FAR Infrared Sauna.

I have a 3-person sauna in my basement, I am glad I got the 3-person one. Two adults can comfortably sit in it, however 3 would not work. Maybe 3 children would. When I first started using the Sauna, it would take me over 25 min to even start "glistening" -- that is how bad my body didn't want to detox. Now, I start sweating within 15 minutes, a drastic change. I also notice a difference if I do a quick workout before I go into the sauna, vs. just going in cold. And, I read somewhere, but I don't know exactly where, that once you are out of the sauna, let the sweat dry on your skin before you take a shower. There was a reason for it, but I can't remember it now.

Also, occasionally I use my detox foot pads while I am in the sauna. The bottoms of my feet don't sweat ever... but the heat in the sauna helps gobs of toxins to come out in just a matter of 30-45 min. This is especially good if I am suffering from a migraine and want relief ASAP.

I haven't noticed any difference in my skin -- I have pretty decent skin as it is. I do not use any toxic face creams or lotions or soaps. And most of my makeup is organic. I don't use SPF and the sun really takes care of me (the sun doesn't cause wrinkles or skin cancer... it actually prevents cancer and pulls toxins out of your body... but more on that another time). My skin probably looks like someone in their early 20s, vs. mid 30s. So I am doing ok in that regard. (I use ozonated olive oil morning and night on my skin). 1. Infrared Sauna Therapy increases the extensibility of collagen tissues.
  • Tissues heated to 45°C and then stretched exhibit a non-elastic residual elongation of about 0.5 ~0.9% that persists after the stretch is removed. It does not occur in these same tissues when stretched at normal tissue temperatures. Thus 20 stretching sessions can produce around 10 ~ 18% increase in length in tissues heated and stretched.
  • This effect would be especially valuable in working with ligaments, joint capsules, tendons, fasciae, and synovium that have become scarred, thickened or contracted.
  • Such stretching at 45°C caused much less weakening in stretched tissues for a given elongation than a similar elongation produced at normal tissue temperatures.
  • The cited experiments clearly show that low-impact stretching can produce a significant residual elongation when heat is applied together with stretching or range-of-motion exercises, which is also safer than stretching tissues at normal tissue temperatures.
  • This safer stretching effect is crucial in properly training competitive athletes so as to minimize their "down" time from injuries.

2. Infrared Sauna Therapy decreases joint stiffness directly.

  • There was a 20% decrease in stiffness at 45°C as compared with 33°C in rheumatoid finger joints, which correlated perfectly to both subjective and objective observation of stiffness.
  • Any stiffened joint and thickened connective tissues should respond in a similar fashion.

3. Infrared Sauna Therapy relieves muscle spasms.

  • Muscle spasms have long been observed to be reduced through the use of heat, be they secondary to underlying skeletal, joint, or neuro-pathological conditions.
  • This result is possibly produced by the combined effect of heat on both primary and secondary afferent from spindle cells and from its effects on Golgi tendon organs. The effects produced by each of these mechanisms demonstrated their peak effect within the therapeutic temperature range obtainable with radiant heat

4. Infrared Sauna Therapy produces pain relief.

  • Pain may be relieved via the reduction of attendant or secondary muscle spasms. Pain is also at times related to ischemia due to tension or spasm, which can be improved by the hyperemia that heat-induced vasodilatation produces. This then breaks the feedback loop, in which the ischemia leads to further spasm and then more pain.
  • Heat has been shown to reduce pain sensation by direct action on both free-nerve endings in tissues and on peripheral nerves. In one dental study, repeated heat applications eventually led to abolishment of the whole nerve response responsible for pain arising from dental pulp.
Heat may lead to both increased endorphin production and a shutting down of the so-called "spinal gate" of Melzack and Wall, each of which can reduce pain.

5. Infrared Sauna Therapy increases blood flow.

  • Heating of one area of the body produces reflex-modulated vasodilatation in distant-body areas, even in the absence of a change in core body temperature; i.e. heat one extremity and the contralateral extremity also dilates; heat a forearm and both lower extremities dilate; heat the front of the trunk and the hand dilates.
  • Heating of muscles produces an increased blood flow level similar to that seen during an exercise.
  • Temperature elevation produces an increase in blood flow and dilation directly in capillaries, arterioles, and venuies, probably through direct action on their smooth muscles. The release of bradykinin, released as a consequence of sweat-gland activity, also produces increased blood flow and vasodilatation.
  • Whole-body hyperthermia, with a consequent core temperature elevation, further induces vasodilatation via an hypothalamic-induced decrease in sympathetic tone on the arteriovenous anastomoses. Vasodilatation is also produced by axonal reflexes and by reflexes that change vasomotor balance.

Finnish researchers, talking about the regular use of conventional saunas state that there are abundant evidences to suggest that blood vessels of regular sauna-goers remain elastic and pliable longer due to the regular dilation and contraction of blood vessels induced by sauna use. German medical researchers reported in "Dermatol Monatsschr" in 1989 that a single whole-body session of infrared-induced hyperthermia lasting over one hour had only beneficial effects on subjects with stage I-II essential hypertension. Each subject experienced a rise in core body temperature to a maximum level of 38.5°C (101.3°F). All of the subjects in one experiment had significant decrease in arterial, venous and mean blood pressure that lasted for at least 24 hours and was linked, according to the researchers, to a persistent peripheral dilation effect. An improvement in plasma viscosity was also noted. Another group of similar hypertension patients was also studied under the same conditions of infrared-induced hyperthermia, with an eye toward more carefully evaluating the circulatory system effects induced by this type of whole-body heating. During each infrared session, there was a significant decrease of blood pressure, cardiac ejection resistance, and total peripheral resistance in every subject. There was also a significant increase during each session of the subjects' heart rates, stroke volumes, cardiac outputs and ejection fractions. The researchers cite these last three effects as evidences that the stimulation of the heart during infrared-induced hyperthermia is well compensated, while the prior list of effects clearly show the microcirculatory changes that lead to the desired result of a lowering of blood pressure.

When I got my mercury fillings taken out of my mouth

I had about 8 fillings in my mouth, starting from childhood. So I wanted to get the metal out of my mouth, and about 5 years ago, I did. It was an arduous process, but I constantly was getting headaches, had a metallic taste in my mouth all the time, and was over fatigued. So I went about researching how to best do this. 4. They used a rubber dam in my mouth. Regular dentists will NOT use this just to replace a filling. They normally only use this for root canals. But it helps prevent the mercury dust particles to go into the inner linings of your gums and cheeks, and soak right into your blood stream. (many research articles tout the benefits of taking certain vitamins and minerals sublingually, because it absorbs so much quicker, in your mouth... well, same goes for mercury dust the dentists are drilling out of your teeth!)

The change I felt was not immediate, although the metal taste in my mouth disappeared right away. It took about a week for me to notice a big difference.

I did have a few things that went wrong, during the process. It is true that composite fillings are more sensitive, and if you have sensitive teeth already, then you run the risk of having even more sensitive teeth after the metal fillings are replaced. Another thing that can go wrong, and did for me, is that one of my fillings ran very deep. It was very close to the root/nerves. As a result, the nerve died and I ended up with a root canal. This is something that I never wanted to happen, and I knew the risk. But I also did not want the mercury in my mouth anymore.

If I had it to do over again, there is a small chance that I would have chosen to leave that one particularly tooth alone, and do the other 7 ones.

Another added bonus is that when I open my mouth in a huge wide "O" -- all you see are white, pretty teeth there!! You don't see any silver, etc. I love the look of a clean, white mouth.

In Britain, weight-loss surgery has become a game of "survival of the fattest." As it turns out, funds for the procedures are limited, so only the fattest of the fat are getting approved.

The rest are told they either need to pork up or move to a postal code where there's a lower demand for the surgeries.

Welcome to the world of socialized medicine. Doughnut, anyone?

Forget for a moment that these surgeries are bad news to begin with...because this isn't about that. It's about what happens when you ration health care -- turning major medical decisions into crass lotteries.

British guidelines say stomach-shrinking surgery is recommended for anyone with a BMI over 40 and another condition -- like diabetes -- that would be improved if they weren't so fat. They also need to have tried other forms of weight loss first, and failed.

Put yourself their shoes for a moment. You're a loyal plus- sized British taxpayer. You want the surgery...your doc approves...you meet the guidelines for it...let's get started, right?

Sorry, old chap...but the guidelines have gone to the dickens. The only pounds that really count are the sterling ones they use for money over there -- and there's not enough of those to fix everyone's fat.

Since local bean counters actually get to make the final decisions, you can try moving to an area with more cash in the kitty...or you can eat fish and chips until you move to the top of the list. That's if you don't drop dead first -- there's a reason they call it "morbidly obese."

Laugh at the Brits if you want -- but don't laugh too hard or too long. This kind of bizarre logic is common in socialized medicine, and while you're busy laughing, ObamaCare is being rewritten and reworked with our oversized bellies (and ever-shrinking wallets) in mind. Ok, so we see a problem here already with socialism. We KNOW it doesn't work. We KNOW that there has been no history ANYWHERE of it working successfully. And now we are seeing socialized healthcare "reform" popping up everywhere. What do we do about it? First of all, I have a few tips that you can do to avoid being a victim.

1. Take care of your own health. No one is responsible for your health except YOU. Don't eat trash, garbage, junk, etc. Don't eat Doritos or potato chips. Don't eat processed foods. Don't ingest hormones, antibiotics etc through your food.
2. Detox your body. I tell everyone this over and over, and yet no one listens. And then when they are so sick they can barely function, and have to get on disability (so my tax dollars can pay for them to survive paycheck to paycheck in their public housing), they then think "I should have listened -- I should have done things differently". Well, of course. That is what I have been telling you all along! Use my detox foot pads
3. Exercise. I don't mean you have to work out at the gym every day. I mean be ACTIVE. Don't sit on the couch watching TV or playing video games all day long. Maybe an hour or two a day MAX (even though that is still way too long for me). But get off your fat butt and move. Clean. Play with your dogs if you have any, play with your kids. Take a walk and say hi to your neighbors when you pass them. Garden. All of these things are much more productive than sitting in front of the TV.
4. Once you do these things, work one  by one on each family member and your kids, so they can also reap the benefits.

Because personally, I don't want to pay for YOU just because you are making poor decisions in your life right now. Granted, that makes me sound so unChristlike, but I know there are incidents that accidents happen, and as a result you can't care for yourself. Sure, then I will help you, gladly, with a very charitable heart. But my heart won't be very charitable if you got to be the way you are because you stuffed too many twinkies in your face.

 I RESCUED A HUMAN TODAY Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels.  I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her.  I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid.

As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage.  I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today.  Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.

As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past.  I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life.

She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me.  I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship.

A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well.  Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms.  I would promise to keep her safe.  I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes.  I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor.  So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors.  So many more to be saved.  At least I could save one.

I rescued a human today.

Dachshund & Pig - you gotta see this!

The part that I thought was funny (I thought all of it was cute) was where it says he is the cleanest pig ever because she licks him all the time. Made me giggle!

He had his eyes closed, but now they are open. He is just a little bigger than her other pups.

She loves this little guy as much as the other puppies and she is nursing him back to health.

I received a magazine in the mail yesterday that I didn't subscribe to or request. No biggee. It is about the size of Readers' Digest, and is called "REMEDY". My first thought of the magazine was that it might be a fun read, as I am into natural remedies. Well, it isn't. I think they try to portray it that way, but even the pharmeceutical companies are taking over the ad pages in the magazine.

I did notice something I haven't noticed before. All the drug company ads now have a new (maybe not new? just haven't noticed before) disclaimer on their advertisement: "You are encouraged to report negative side effects of prescription drugs to the FDA. visit www.fda.gov/medwatch, or call 1-800-FDA-1088."

Wowsers! That exact same disclaimer was on every drug ad I read in the book. I guess the FDA is now making it mandatory. I bet now (I HOPE) more people will call and report side effects. Sometimes side effects are worse than the disease!

It gets worse!  Clean food activists have identified the "dirty dozen."  These 12 fruits and vegetables, when conventionally grown, are drenched in pesticides.
This "horror list" includes all-time favorites, like peaches, strawberries and spinach... plus nine more fruits and vegetables most of us eat regularly!
The Dirty Dozen are absolutely TOXIC because they've been raised with so many pesticides there's no way to wash them off. Even peeling these fruits and vegetables will not rid them of the toxins when they've been conventionally grown.  
In fact, if you eat your USDA-recommended 5 daily servings of fruits and veggies from the  "Dirty Dozen" list, you can swallow an average of 10 pesticides a day.
How many of the "dirty dozen" are you unconsciously eating? 
The danger doesn't stop with fresh produce.  Chicken, beef, pork and eggs are all full of dangerous pesticides.    In fact, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service 2007 National Residue Program Data results (published Oct. 2008) tested nineteen (19) compound classes of veterinary drugs and pesticides (all told,
about 120 compounds).   Out of the beef, chicken, pork, veal, eggs and other products analyzed, 42 chemical residue violations were found.

Not a single one of these substances is something you want to put in your body!  And several of them are known carcinogens!
