My first reaction was that it was nice. I wore it for about 20 minutes, seeing if I could move around in it, sit down, stretch, etc. I could. But after I left, my rib cage felt funny. So at the price of $170, I decided not to buy one, and to buy just the tank top instead.

Then I searched around on eBay and the same garment, brand new, was being offered at $77. That is a much better price, and I decided to try it, after reading a lot of information about how it isn't like a girdle from the dark ages, that is really compresses the fat tissue and (I know I will explain this wrong) helps squeeze the fat out of your body through detox measures. I understand the detox part.

I am 5'8" and not overweight. But of course I want to be on the low end of my "BMI range", which I am not. I am on the very high end of it! So gaining 5-10 lbs would make me tip the scale into a BMI of over 24.9, which I want to avoid.

In fact, I would like to lose another 10-15 lbs. Or at least fit into my summer clothes.

So, I decided to get it, and it finally arrived. I had to purchase the extenders for the straps because I am "tall". I purchased a size 34 of the bodyMagic. The thoracic measurement (right below your breasts) is how you masure the size. In the reviews I have read that it takes about 15 minutes to get into the garment at first, usually taking a second person to help you. Well, it took me 5 minutes all by myself. I think that because I do not have gobs of fat, and only mild to moderate love handles, that this is why it wasn't very hard to get into.

However... I do have to say that it is a bit difficult to use the restroom while you are wearing this. They have snaps in the crotch area for this purpose, but me, without a belly sticking out, could barely reach under and open and close them for my call of nature. It is easier to just take off your shirt, and unsnap from the front. Trust me on this one.

I am impressed how clean the lines look under the clothing -- no more rolls of fat lines underneath my shirts and no muffin top. However, it does give you a larger, firmer, lifted derriere. Not that it is any problem, for sure. But it also gives you the "hour glass figure" from the frontal view. From the side view, I think I am larger than when I originally put it on. At least it isn't making me look skinny. I am normally skinny from the side view, but straight up and down like a popsicle from the front view (meaning I don't have a skinny waist compared to my hips and chest, even when I am at a BMI of 19! At least I have boobs though!).

I have read some tips... first, be sure to get the right size. Second, wear it as often as you can. I just recently started wearing mine during the day at work. Before I only wore it in the evening for about 2-5 hours. Now I am wearing it about 10 hours a day. The only part that feels tight is right around my rib cage, under my breasts. It is is loose when I feel it, but I suppose the expanding and contracting of the lungs to breathe make it feel that way. Not uncomfortable at all, and even sort of forces me to have good posture.

Since I am going to physical therapy for my thoracic area along my spine, along with rotator cuff tendinitis, shoulder bursitis, impingement, dyskinesis and neural tension (wow! a mouthful!), I did ask the physical therapist what he thought of this, before I bought it. He said it would help stabilize my thoracic area, so that was what was the deciding factor for me.

I honestly don't see how people could spend $170 on this garment, but I was willing to spend $77.

I think it works. At least to some degree, with weight loss. But there is one thing that I have realized that I want to tell you about. When I first started wearing it for longer periods of times, the lymph nodes in my underarms started getting swollen and tender. I knew the garment was supposed to help your body detox. But I didn't figure that it would detox that quickly. The swollen lymph glands was my body's way of telling me that boy, it was detoxing!! So I made the decision to put on my detox foot pads that night, and by morning the swelling was gone. I wore them an additional two nights, and will probably wear them a few days a week, to help my body detox the fatty tissue out.

I probably have lost about 5 lbs in the last 15 or so days of wearing this thing. I am impressed. But not at the price of $170. I have also read a lot about how poor the customer service is at the company. I tried chatting with their online customer service, and they basically hung up on me.

Another issue I have with the company is that it is an MLM company, and I can't stand those. Everyone tries to get you to start selling it... for a mere $300, you can get $300 worth of products and then start selling it on your own. I don't know much about their payment program, but I stay as far away from those as I can. Which is sad, since many MLM companies actually do have products that work. Except when you just get any old person to sign up to be a distributor, without the proper training, that is when you start to get in trouble with people making false claims about your company, then when it doesn't live up to those claims, your business suffers.

I enjoy just creating my own business myself, like Purify Your Body where I sell my foot pads, along with some other products I have been using for years, like OxyLift, OxyFlush, NutraSilver and MMS. I ship my own orders, take care of my own customer service, and have a customer base of over 4,000 customers now. Those are the companies that I like. I am not going out of business, and I will continue to offer very high quality products at the lowest prices that I can. Since I have a day job that pays my bills, I don't need to gouge my customers with high prices. Trust and honesty is important to me, and in return I get loyalty from my customers.

So... in conclusion, I think that the body magic garment from Ardyss works. (Oh, I forgot to mention that I didn't lose 2-3 sizes instantly... I am a size 10 and that would have put me at a size 4 or 6, and even at my skinniest, I could barely even fit into a size 6, so don't kid yourself on this one). I would strongly suggest looking on eBay (once you know your size) for better prices than a direct distributor.

Good luck!
